ChatGPT, artificial intelligence from technology company OpenAI, has been barred from operating in Italy on April 31, 2023.

ChatGPT was banned in Italy after a check operated by the country’s Data Protection Agency found flaws in the protection of personal information of premium version chatbot users. The same agency, according to The Guardian, revealed on March 20 that the artificial intelligence had a bug responsible for leaking data such as users’ names, email addresses, and banking information, such as the number of the credit card used in the purchase transaction.

If OpenAI refuses to make the necessary updates to ensure the integrity of user data within 20 days, the Italian agency will levy a fine of â‚¬20M. One of the allegations for the content of the action is the lack of specific regulations to coordinate the use of AI.

Discussions have already been raised about whether or not there are risks involved in using ChatGPT. Users have already pointed out that the chatbot emits false answers and misinformation in some cases. ChatGPT is estimated to have reached 100M monthly active users in January, just two months after its launch, making it the fastest-growing consumer app in history, according to a study published in February.

ChatGPT has already been banned in countries such as China, Russia, Iran, and parts of Africa by the developer itself. Recently, the non-profit organization Future of Life Institute released an open letter with more than 2M signatures calling for a halt to the development of artificial intelligence like ChatGPT-4.

To have a successful Instagram account, you need to put in the time and effort. You can’t just set up your account and expect people to start clicking on your links. You need an engaged audience that is interested in your brand. This is why running Instagram ads is still a good idea – it will help you build up a following and figure out what engages your target customers best.

Dealing with social media influencers is not always easy. Actually, most of the time, companies and influencers can’t communicate clearly, as there is a lack of a cultural, linguistic, and social bridge that connects both.

When it comes to Latin influencers, this communication barrier is even bigger. Not only because a lot of people in countries like Brazil or Colombia don’t English, but also because these countries are highly multicultural, with cities with completely different styles, slang, and social and cultural movements within the country.

In the case of Brazil, this aspect is so strong that there are even completely different cultures within the same city, in big metropolises like São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro.

It is really hard to keep up with the constant changes in pop culture and in the internet world, so contacting an agency whose job is to always be updated about what the influencers are doing, how is the stability in the country, and more important information for your company, is the best strategy.
